The 7th graders have been learning about linear perspective. This week, students will synthesize their knowledge of 2D linear perspective and put it to use to create a 3D castle (in a group). Students will be expected to incorporate architectural elements of medieval castles into their sculptures. Castles from ksumatarted I need a digital copy of your cereal box. 1. Go to http://edmodo.com 2. Login or signup (he code you need is 4gs73g) 3. If you need to signup click on "student" the group code you need is 4gs73g make up a username (that has part of your name in it, so I know who you are) make up a password DO NOT put in your email address put in your first name put in your last name agree to the terms 5. Post your photo on our class feed. make sure you are on the 7th Art PMtn 2014-2015 page type in "This is my cereal box" click on "file" (it's an icon) find your cereal box and choose it in the drop-down make sure you select "7th Art PMtn 2014-2015" click send 6. Make at least 2 positive comments about other students' works on the page 7. you may visit any of the websites on the right-hand side of this page 1. Go to Pixlr.com

This cereal could be something silly (like Kryptonite Krunch made of 100% Corruption), or it could be based on a pop-culture celebrity (think 2 Grainz and Frosted Drakes). We sketched on Monday. . .We will use our sketches for the steps below. 1. Assemble ALL of the images you will need to make your box. You can look through the gallery below and right-click and save any of the images to your student drive. Consider if you need these items: - a bowl of cereal? - pictures of food (is it apple flavored? etc. etc.) - a picture of a celebrity? - pictures of an item (if you cereal is made of cookies, then you need pictures of coo 2. The template should open in Pixlr e. Go to "layer" and choose "open image as ruler" f. go to your lunch number drive and find a picture you need for your cereal box design and choose it g. You picture should appear on the template in pixlr h. Go to "edit" and choose "free transform" to resize the image i. Use the tools in the toolbox to edit your image j. repeat steps 11-15 to add all of the needed pictures to pixlr k. Use the text tool from the tool box to add text (the icon is an "A") l.
