Comments This week, students are studying The Great Wave Off Kanagawa by Japanese artist, Hokusai. Students will copy Hokusai's work and then remix it in order to make it their own. You can learn more about this below.

A screen shot of your avatar should appear 7. crop your avatar and resize it to make it big 8. save to your student drive 9. print 10. put your name on it and give it to Ms. Z. 11. you can go to any of the websites on the right-hand side of this page 1. 2. Play with the “Number of Points”, “Recursion Depth”, and “Number of Child’s Point Ratio” until you like your work (remember, you will have to trace what you design!!) 3. Click on the “Geometry” tab and play with the “Radius” and “Child Point Radius) until you like your work 4. Click on the “Draw” tab and play with “Line Weight” until you have a line thickness that you think will be easiest to trace 5. At the bottom of the toolbox under the “Draw” tab, click on “Line” 6. Choose the color for “Line” to be black 7. At the bottom of the toolbox under the “Draw” tab click on “Canvas” 8. Choose the color for canvas to be white 9. At the top of your screen, click on the “Export PNG” button 10. You should see the file save in the bottom left-hand of your screen 11. Click on the file –it should open 12. Right click on your image and choose “copy” 13. Open MS Word and “Paste” 14. Your image should appear 15. Print your image, put your name on it, and give it to Ms. Z. 16. 2. Click "Open image from computer" 3. Go to STUdrive, handouts, zschaber, 7th grade, 7th grade faces, and choose your period 4. Find your face and click on it to open 5. Go to adjustment and hue and saturation 6. Turn the saturation to -100 7. Go to adjustment and brightness and contrast 8. Toggle until you have high contrast (light values and dark values) 9. Go to adjustment and posterize 10. Choose a level between 6 and 9 11. Go to File and Save 12. Click ok 13. Save your picture to your LUNCH NUMBER DRIVE 14. Open MS Word 15. Insert your picture (make it as big as you can and still have it fit on 1 page) 16. Print 17. Give to Ms. Z. 18.
