We are inventing our own cereals this week. This cereal could be something silly (like Kryptonite Krunch made of 100% Corruption), or it could be based on a pop-culture celebrity (think 2 Grainz and Frosted Drakes). We sketched on Monday. . .We will use our sketches for the steps below.
1. Assemble ALL of the images you will need to make your box. You can look through the gallery below and right-click and save any of the images to your student drive.
Consider if you need these items:
- a bowl of cereal?
- pictures of food (is it apple flavored? etc. etc.)
- a picture of a celebrity?
- pictures of an item (if you cereal is made of cookies, then you need pictures of coo

2. Need an image that is not posted here? Go to THIS LINK to find other images. If your image is not at the link given, ASK Ms. Z. for permission to Google.
3. Go to Pixlr.com
a. Click on the butterfly
b. Choose "open image from computer"
c. Go to "computer" "studrive" "handouts" "zschaber" "cereal box design" and choose "cereal box design template"
d. The template should open in Pixlr
e. Go to "layer" and choose "open image as ruler"
f. go to your lunch number drive and find a picture you need for your cereal box design and choose it
g. You picture should appear on the template in pixlr
h. Go to "edit" and choose "free transform" to resize the image
i. Use the tools in the toolbox to edit your image
j. repeat steps 11-15 to add all of the needed pictures to pixlr
k. Use the text tool from the tool box to add text (the icon is an "A")
l. Save often
m. Once done, turn your work in on our class Edmodo.
